Growth in Africa

I traveled to Africa this summer to visit our Global Action team, and I was blown away by what God is doing there!

Our work in Zimbabwe began just three years ago, and yet in that short time we have expanded all over the country—and the continent! In addition to multiple sites in Zimbabwe, we have now launched classes in Kenya, Uganda, and South Sudan.

Our Africa team is based out of Harare and led by Buhe Mativenga. They have developed strong networks across the continent, and new opportunities and partnerships are emerging in strategic places as a result.

While visiting Zimbabwe, I was able to meet with one of these partners, Harare Theological College (HTC). This college has been instrumental in helping us launch our work in Zimbabwe. They have even helped us find creative solutions for serving remote areas. Together, we have been using a unique technology for distributing materials at a low cost, called a “Moodle Box.”

Another partner I visited is a unique company with a Kingdom mindset, seeking to help resource organizations like ours. Zimworx Zimbabwe has made a commitment to help fund our work in Africa out of its profits. As that company continues to prosper, so do many missions organizations like ours!

Truly, the Lord has gone before us in this work and as we have stepped out in faith and trusted Him for provision. We have been rewarded with much fruit. I thank God for Kingdom-minded partners who understand how incredibly important it is to disciple the disciple-makers around the world!
