In This Together
Posted on March 25, 2020
Dear Friends,
COVID-19 has revealed how interconnected we are as a global community. As of today, there are 177 countries in the world that have reported confirmed cases of the coronavirus—all originating from some faraway city in Central China that most of us had never heard of until a few weeks ago. Our lives are far more interconnected than we realize.
Yesterday this really hit me during a video conference call with staff and colleagues in India, Ukraine, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Cuba, and Guatemala. Their lives have all been affected by COVID-19—and the difficult work they are doing has just become more difficult. I am praying (and working) for their joy in these uncertain times.
I am thankful for all of you who make it possible for us to remain steadfast in the most difficult parts of the world. If you’d like to learn more about how our team is responding during this crisis, you can find more information here.
Some of you have asked how you can help during this time of need. We are so thankful for your generosity! If you would like to give hope in this time of need, click here.
We ask you to remember us in your prayers, even as we remember all of you. We are all in this together.
For the Entire Team,
Dr. Lionel Young III
Executive Vice President
