Paradise?

Dear Friends,
Playa del Carmen and Merida, Mexico. What comes to your mind when you think about these two destinations? We tend to imagine white sugar sand beaches, five-star resorts, and lots of internationals soaking up the sun over spring break. A vacationer’s paradise. Yet when you get off the beaten path, poverty and superstition are rampant. And sadly, the vacationers who come here from all over the world have not been bringing the Gospel with them. Less than 10% of the local population are followers of Jesus Christ, and there are extremely few Bible-believing churches led by pastors with any kind of theological training. Without healthy churches rooted in the Gospel, how will the people hear?
That’s where Global Action comes in. I just returned from inaugurating our new GLOMOS schools in both cities, where I taught pastors who are gifted and passionate, hungry to be equipped for the work of the ministry. And they are already beginning to catch the vision. One example is Frank and Merissa, a couple in our Playa class, who travel into the jungle every week to minister in the Mayan village. It doesn’t matter that they drive on sketchy roads in an undependable vehicle, because God has given them a burden to reach the Mayan people. The risk is worth it!
And they understand the difference that biblical training can make. That’s why after only one class of GLOMOS, Frank and Merissa are already planning where they will teach it when they are finished, so they can continue making disciples and equipping leaders! That is how God is using Global Action wherever we go! But we can’t do this without your support. Your financial investment in our ministry allows us to train and equip these national leaders to reach their countries for Christ. Thank you!
Yours in reaching the world,
