Spreading Hope in the New Year
Posted on December 30, 2020
What a year! I don’t think I’ve ever been so glad to put a year behind me. But as I look back over the last twelve months, I can see many examples of how God has used the challenges to help us refocus on what truly matters.
This year of quarantines, travel bans, and global turmoil has been a poignant reminder to me of the importance of equipping local leaders to impact their own communities with the gospel. Even though I have been unable to travel and serve in the places of greatest need, trained local leaders have been able to roll up their sleeves and spread hope to their hurting neighbors. They were already there and ready to serve. This is why we do what we do!
Pastor Steve DeWitt from Indiana recently shared with us why he is so passionate about our work:
“I give to Global Action because it brings the greatest good (the gospel) to the greatest need (spiritually impoverished global locations) for the greatest purpose (disciple-making and God’s glory). While there are other opportunities, Global Action is a high impact, high integrity ministry where every dollar matters.”
As we go into a new year, I invite you to partner with us in spreading the life-changing hope of the gospel throughout the world. With your help, we plan to equip over 1,900 leaders to transform their communities in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and Eastern Europe. Your gifts at the end of this year will help make this bold, God-sized dream possible. If you have already given—thank you so very much. If you are able to give, there is still time.
May the Lord bless and keep you as we begin a new year with hope and anticipation.
Peace Be With You,
Lionel Young
